The 2010 US OPEN OF SURFING produced one of the coolest skate contests I have ever had the privilege to shoot. Appropriately named the “Costal Carnage” sponsored by Nike’s newest acquired brand Converse, the all new pool style course was painted blue to emulate a drained pool in a way  never before seen in a contest. Perhaps the highlight of the event was the reborn Christian Hosoi skating with fellow masters legend Lance Mountain skating in a way I would describe as “On Fire”. The two legends of professional skateboarding appeared to be right at home with the course, and together with fellow Skate Legend’s Steve Caballero and Omar Hassan “lit it up” and had the crowd screaming for more.
